Castel UK Sponsors Security in Education Conference

Latest News From Castel

Great Notley, UK, 2nd October 2018. Castel UK has been confirmed as a key sponsor at the CPD-accredited Security in Education Conference to be held on 13th November at the University of Salford, Greater Manchester.

A top priority for the education sector is finding a range of appropriate security solutions to prevent crime on campus. In university cities across the country students are the most common targets of theft or other serious and violent crimes. To address this issue, the University has organised the Security in Education Conference, which is intended to help develop and discover different security solutions designed to keep students safe with the help of some of the biggest brands in the industry. The Conference will also feature keynote addresses from experts in this increasingly important field.
At the event, Castel will be demonstrating its brand-new Xellip2 range of full-IP/SIP intercom solutions to visitors. On show will be entry stations with wide-angled colour video cameras, keypads with braille buttons, pictograms for disabled people and built-in audio induction loops for compliance with disability discrimination legislation (DDA). For added protection and security at external gates and barriers, these IP entry stations also have vandal-resistant stainless steel variants that can be customised in any RAL colour.
The latest dedicated master stations and touchscreen monitors used in control rooms will also be on display. All of them enable education establishments to be more secure (schools, university campuses, crèches, etc.) and offer a reassuring environment for children, pupils, teaching staff and visitors alike.
Castel’s newly launched mass emergency notification server will also be unveiled at the Conference. The server provides emergency notifications on multiple platforms, including text, voice, email and maps. The server can extract data from all IP-enabled devices, serial communications, fire alarms and information from intruder alarms. Castel’s emergency server also provides instant notifications to all emergency personnel and first responders and are ideal for the full range of education applications.
